The same applies to any specific information about the responsible person in charge of the photographs. Please let me know, if you have any information, links or the like. Time lapse sequences of photographs taken with a special low-light 4K-camera by the crew of expedition 28 & 29 onboard the International Space Station from August to October, 2011. All credit goes to them.

I truly enjoy outer space. It’s absolutely amazing that we now have the ability to send instruments out into the void of the universe to observe all sorts of interesting things. Asteroids! Moons! Planets! Dark matter! This is the perfect opportunity for a Carl Sagan quote:

“Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.”

The footage in this little film was captured by the hardworking men and women at NASA with the Cassini Imaging Science System. If you’re interested in learning more about Cassini and the on-going Cassini Solstice Mission, check it out at NASA’s website:

Mostanra gyakorlatilag elkerülhetetlen, hogy a neten lépten-nyomon ne botoljunk bele videókba, kivéve talán azoknak, akik csak Lynx-et, vagy egyéb szöveges böngészőt használnak (melyek, megjegyzem, sok esetben nagyon hasznosak, esetenként életmentőek).

Szóval két rövidfilmet, vagy videót szeretnék megosztani veletek. Az elmúlt két-három hónap alatt ezek voltak azok, amik olyan „atyaég” reakciót váltottak ki belőlem. Negyed év alatt kettő nem tűnik soknak, de tulajdonképpen nem is kevés, örülök, hogy van egyáltalán ez a kettő.

Az első kisfilm egy IBM self-promó videó, amiben egy Jeopardy!-t játszó számítógéprendszerrel ismertetnek meg minket.

Nagyon tetszik a feszültséget fokozó zene, ami később teljesen más stílusba vált át. Engem megfogott.

A második videó személyesebb hangvételű: egy Shinya Kimura nevű fickóról szól, aki motorokat készít. Ő tervezi és az utolsó darabig ő formálja az alkatrészeket, amíg el nem készül egy-egy alkotással. Amint említettem, nagyon személyes ez a darab, és ilyen jó hanggal netes videóban még nem találkoztam.

A vágás csodálatos mindkettőnél, tekintve, hogy egészen rövidek ezek a kisfilmek/videók. Sok a vágás, de nem ész nélkül vannak összedobva, hanem nem tudom megmagyarázni hogyan, de jól (és kész).

In the puzzle platformer Coma you play as Pete, a friendly little creature who is on a search for his missing sister. During your adventure you’ll meet other inhabitants of the outside world, some of them requiring your help before returning the favor with an item or a piece of advice.

Nearly everything is controlled using the arrow keys, and the only time you’ll have to switch to the mouse is when picking a response during a conversation. Occasionally it can be hard to tell whether certain platforms are tangible or not, and a couple of interactive objects can be tough to spot, but even if you had difficulties with a puzzle or two it still won’t take you more than half an hour to beat the entire game.

Remélem sokan szeretitek közületek a Boards of Canadát. Nagy rajongójuk vagyok, csodás zenét csinálnak. A minap épp YouTube-ot bámultam, amikor belefutottam ebbe a remek coverbe.
